Help for the Homeless
Dogs offer us love, affection, companionship, joy, and any number of other great fuzzy feelings. What some people often forget, we also provide those things, and more to our dogs. At Wag-N-Train, we see the love and commitment shared between human and animal every day. It is because of this, and our great love of dogs, big and small, we offer our Help for the Homeless. We work with area shelters and rescues, with the hope of giving someone the perfect companion, and a homeless dog a forever home.
Working with the Circle of Friends Humane Society, Wag-N-Train offers free boarding to anywhere from 3 to 5 homeless dogs at a time. While they stay with us we work on behavioral modification and some basic training, improving manners, and adoptability.
What really makes our program stand out is what we offer after adoption. Once a family or individual has made the commitment to take a dog into their home we offer 2 weeks In-Kennel Training for FREE. During this training period we work with the new family and their dog customizing training and commands to fit the new home. This is also a great time for owner and dog to bond and make those important connections.
The following are the current dogs staying at Wag-N-Train and looking for a forever home:
As they learn their commands and we learn more about them, more photos and notes on their personalities and progress will be added to this page, so check back often!
