Frequently Asked Questions:

How often should my dog have a dental cleaning?
Approximately every six months to a year, depending on breed, age, and build-up on teeth.

How do you do the procedure?
Your dog lays on his or her back on a dog bed with their head in the hygienist's lap. We wrap smaller dogs in a towel to help them feel secure. We clean plaque buildup off of the teeth with sterile dental tools. Then, the teeth are polished and cleaned. If we find that any teeth may need extraction or medical attention, we refer you back to the vet for treatment under anesthesia.

Do you use sterile tools?
Yes, tools are sterilized after each use.

Can this procedure be performed on any dog? No -- if there are teeth that are broken or abscessed, your dog must be treated by your vet.

Can this procedure be performed on elderly dogs? Yes, anesthesia-free dentals can be performed on older pets that might not be good candidates for anesthesia.
