Daycare

Located in the fresh and quiet countryside, within convenient distance of Interstate 29, WAG-N-TRAIN's daycare offers fully supervised play and exercise for your dog while you're working, running errands, or away from home. We have the largest indoor play yard in the region! Our outdoor yards feature wall-to-wall K9 Grass for cleanliness in all seasons.

If you have to leave your dog home alone for hours, our daycare is the perfect solution. Dogs left alone often become depressed, destructive, or noisy. Spending time in daycare is also great exercise for any dog, and is a perfect opportunity for your dog to be socialized with other dogs and people. Being able to play and interact with other dogs is not only fun, but is scientifically proven to help teach good manners and build your dog's confidence.

Our daycare features:

The BIGGEST indoor play yard in the region. Our indoor play yard is fully heated and air conditioned, and has wall-to-wall shock-absorbent rubber flooring to prevent stress on your dog's joints.

Large outdoor play yards surrounded by a secure 8 foot fence and featuring wall-to-wall K9 Grass for cleanliness in all weather conditions.

Play equipment and toys for dogs of all sizes.

New Clients:

Before being admitted to daycare, your dog must have proof of up-to-date rabies, distemper/parvo, and bordetella (kennel cough) vaccines. Your vet can fax these to us upon request.

All new daycare guests must pass a temperament screening. This test screens for aggression or overly rough behavior, and ensures that our playgroups are safe and stress-free. There is a one-time charge of $17 for temperament testing. Please call us to arrange a convenient time and date. If the screening is successful, the $17 fee can be applied to the first day of daycare. Dogs that are aggressive or overly rough cannot be admitted to daycare.

Note about the playgroups: Dogs spend most of the day playing with other dogs and our daycare staff. Just as you may be tired after a vacation, your dog may be tired when you pick him or her up -- this is normal. Dogs may get small scrapes or scratches from playing or wrestling with other dogs. This is uncommon but can happen. Our groups are fully supervised by trained staff. Dogs that are aggressive are not allowed in the group and we do our best to prevent conflicts and overly rough play. If you have any questions or concerns about how your dog does in the playgroup, please give us a call.

Feeding: We are always happy to feed our daycare guests breakfast and/or lunch. Just bring enough food for the day in a small plastic container.

Don't forget! Boredom and lack of exercise is the number one cause of behavioral problems. Socialization -- especially in young dogs -- helps to teach manners and plays a significant role is shaping your dog's personality. Animal behavior experts agree that socialization and exercise is very important to your dog's health and well-being.
